Frozen Baikal Crossing

Walk on a metre of black crystal ice over the world's deepest lake, ice-hole immersions, banya villages, and hovercraft galas on the ice.

Beyond the brochure

The real story.

The ice is a metre thick and perfectly clear, so you walk on nothing, over a mile of black water, with cracks running under your boots like lightning.

You breathe on it. You cut a hole in it and go in. You come out to a banya so hot your skin sings.

And on the last night a hovercraft brings dinner out onto the ice.
