The Morning Protocol

Twelve minutes. Three parts. Every morning.

Breath, cold, intention — the shape of Wim's dawn, sized for a bathroom, streak-tracked for decades.

Twelve minutes

The protocol.

Eight minutes

Breath

Three rounds, seated, on waking, before food.

Three minutes

Cold

End the shower cold — as long as you can stay calm.

One minute

Intention

One sentence for the day. Say it. Mean it.

Safety, plainlyBreath first, on dry land. Cold after, breathing slowly.
Design

Why twelve minutes.

Long enough to change your chemistry; short enough that no morning has an excuse. The legacy platform tracks it as a streak — not a number to display, a ritual to keep.

Habit

Making it a decade-long habit.

Same time. Same order. Same room. Habit is architecture, not willpower — but the cold will train your willpower anyway.

Never in or near waterWim Hof Method breathing, when done intensely for multiple rounds, can in rare cases lead to loss of consciousness. Always practice seated or lying down, in a neutral space such as a living room — never in water, in the shower, while driving, or operating machinery. Read the safety doctrine.
