The Records Hall

Twenty-six world records. A Guinness title eighteen times.

That is the official wording on the Wim Hof Method site. Guinness itself recognizes eighteen title appearances and currently lists him as holder of one. Both facts are true; this hall tells you which is which.

Evidence over evangelism

What the record books say now.

Several of these records have since been broken by others — the under-ice swim and the full-body ice contact among them. Scott Carney obtained Guinness confirmation that Hof has eighteen record appearances in total; the "twenty-six" figure includes non-Guinness world records. The official site updated its language after that investigation, and this hall uses the same wording.
