Beyond the brochure

The real story.

The trail climbs from Lukla through rhododendron and juniper to a world of stone and ice, and every morning you breathe before you walk.

At Tengboche the monks bless the group. At Base Camp the Sherpas cook a feast in a mess tent under the Khumbu Icefall.

You will not climb to where Wim stopped. You will stand where he started, and breathe.
