Cenote Initiation

Breath and stillness training in sacred Mayan sinkholes and candlelit caverns, cave-mouth banquets, and a Mayan fire ceremony finale.

Beyond the brochure

The real story.

A cenote is a hole in the jungle floor with water at the bottom so clear you can see thirty metres down, and the Maya believed it was the entrance to the underworld.

You will sit at the edge with candles and breathe. You will enter the water slowly — never the retention, only the slow breath — and find out how still you can be.

On the last night, a fire ceremony, and a feast at the mouth of the cave.
